Tips on material to catch bass in surfcasting

Here are some articles that can guide you on the choice of your equipment to fish for sea bass in surfcasting

Rod

It is important to note that to keep a certain versatility in surfcasting fishing, it is best to use a rod between 4m20 and 4m90, which will allow you to throw weights between 80 and 200 grams.
You can find the Daiwa Sensor Surf range, an initiation rod designed for occasional fishing in surfcasting on coasts, equipped with a composite blank, a straight fitting with metal reinforcement ring, OAL rings (the first one is foldable), and a tubular screw reel seat (adapted reel size: 4500 to 5500). With this range you will be able to carry out a progressive action during your fishing.
Then, three ranges of the Daiwa brand are interesting: The Crossfire, equipped with a thin and nervous blank allowing remote throws while preserving the bait; and which gives a progressive peak action. The second range is the Shorecast Surf II. With strong peak action, it is also perfect for fishing in currents with grapple weights. Finally, the Prime Caster II, at the top end of the range, is very practical for launching it. In addition, these rods have an ultra-precise detection capability, day and night, thanks to a phosphorescent tip.

Reels

The most important criteria before buying a reel for surfcasting are: Good corrosion protection, a capacity of 300m in 40/100, a minimum recovery of 70cm per crank revolution, several ball bearings as well as a brake on the top of the drum and possibly a disengageable one (which allows the fish to go with the bait in the mouth without feeling any resistance).
There is the Rod Factory Kaiju Surf FD reel, which is lightweight and corrosion-resistant, with a stainless steel bearing, a micrometric ratchet brake and a BRS bowl balancing system. The Mitchell Blue Water RZ is a very robust polymer construction with an aluminum coil (+additional graphite coil), four bearings, a brake with felt washers and an aluminum crank.
The Shimano Speedcast XSB is equipped with "X-Ship" gears for maximum efficiency. This reel offers remarkable flexibility in combat and its recovery of 103cm of line per crank turn is ideal for long-distance fishing. In very high quality, the Aero Technium XS-B MGS equipped with the new cold forged aluminum mechanism reduces friction and allows fluidity to be maintained even under very high stresses. With a magnesium body and rotor, the weight is reduced to 440g and the Instant Drag system disengages the brake in half a turn.

Line

Nylon:
You will find the Asso Ultra Low Stretch range, with excellent glide, more discretion, constant breaking strength, because the yarn is waterproof and highly resistant to the sun. You can also try Berkley's Trilene Big Game, a very versatile nylon, perfect for fishing all specimens in both fresh water and sea.
Braid:

For braids, there is the entry-level TR Turtle Bottom Line, very suitable for all bottom line fishing requiring high resistance. There will also be Powerline's Braid Power, made of 100% Super PE fibers and designed to meet all expectations regardless of the type of fishing.
