Tips on material to catch bass on plug from the shore

For each category of equipment, the items (four per category) will be classified from the cheapest to the most expensive. What we propose here is only a suggestion, you are free to use the material you want. Some parts of the equipment (weights, hooks, etc...) will not be mentioned in this article.

Rod

The type of rod has no particular influence on fishing, since there is no animation to do. However, note that the thinner the rod, the more sensations will be increased tenfold when you bring the fish up, so a rod between 10-30g of power may be sufficient. You can have the Daiwa Sensor, a versatile and robust rod, as an entry level product. For an intermediate price, there will be among others the Spinning Jinza Shira. The Mitchel Avocet Powerback Pesca telescopic surf rod, a little more expensive, has a quality 24T carbon blank and quality LTS rings. Finally, the Cinnetic Crafty Seabass Light Game, for a much higher budget, is inspired by the Sea Bass CRB4 model; it has a softer and more progressive action while remaining powerful. The latter is also equipped with Fuji MNOG reel seat and rings.

Reel

For this type of fishing, a reel between 2000 and 4000 will be more than enough, we recommend the Okuma Revenger Pro: in addition to being made of graphite (which makes it insensitive to corrosion), it is equipped with a ball bearing, a machined aluminium coil, an aluminium crank handle, computer-aided rotor balancing and an anti-slip roller; ideal to start with. You can also try the Volkien Soul brand FD Tracker, with 5 bearings technology, a progressive micrometric double brake system, a bowl balancing system, an oversized anti-shifting roller, and an ultra-smooth die-cast aluminium crank handle and EVA foam-covered knob. Made of metal, equipped with a Balanced rotor for a smoother recovery, 6 sealed bearings, and a sealed brake, the Penn Sargus II will satisfy fishermen with its versatility. The latest reel we offer is the Shimano Rarenium CI4+ FB, a top-of-the-range model. The frame of this model is now made of CI4+ composite, which makes it much lighter, without compromising its power or stiffness.

Line

Line body:
For the line body, you can use a 13 hundredth braid, with for example the Spiderwire EZ Braid Yellow 100m, which offers great flexibility and resistance. In another range, there is the Jinza Braidspin, a braided polyamide line, ideal for spinning. The Daiwa Tournament 8 Braid Evo has an abrasion resistance as well as the density of the braiding of the eight strands that make up this yarn. Finally, the Quantum Ultrex Super 8 Braid is a perfectly round braid, which passes through the rings without difficulty (during throws and recovery). Its robustness will allow you to catch very large specimens.
