Advice on the equipment to fish for the sea bream
Rod
It will be important to have a rod long enough (about 3m50) with a tip flexible enough to disturb the dorado as little as possible when it tastes the bait. It is also essential to have a lightweight rod, as it will b(e in your hands throughout the fishing trip.
You can first orient yourself towards the Daiwa Sensor Buscle rod. Its "Buscle" tip (full fiberglass) transmits the most delicate touches and the rest of the rod has enough power reserve to clamp large parts. You can find the Penn Heavy Pilk Regiment, with a 24/30T carbon blank, HDPS-KN reel seat and Fuji BSVAG/BMNAT rings, among others.
In the high-end segment, there will be the Sunset Europa, which responds 100% to the needs of fishermen practicing this technique. This rod consists of a high modulus blank in 3 sections and 3 interchangeable nozzles of different powers. In addition, the SIC Seaguide rings provide a good curve and a high power reserve during confrontations. Finally, you can find Tubertini's F1 Atlantic, a very powerful rod.
Reel
You can use the same type of reel as for bass fishing, with a power between 3000 and 4000. You will need to invest in a reel with a large capacity if you fish at great depths.
In the entry-level segment, you will find among others the Sigma Supra Front Drag reel from Shakespeare, which is equipped with four bearings and a main aluminium reel (plus an additional graphite reel). You can then find Fin-Nor's Rainer Korn Sportfisher. This reel has a very fluid front brake, a robust but lightweight spool and a CNC metal crank handle with an ergonomic handle.
You can buy the Shimano Twin Power SW-B, a reel equipped with the "Hagane" frame and "X-Ship" gears that will allow you to face difficult conditions. It has the power to target very large fish, even the most combative. Its brake is powerful and reliable thanks to its "X-Tough" carbon washers. To end up in the very top of the range, the Daiwa Saltiga 2015 is equipped with Magsealed bearings. In addition, the brake system evolves with the appearance of the A.T.D. (Automatic Tournament Drag) brake, so that the brake gains in precision to fight sports fish in complete serenity.
Line
For this type of fishing, it is very important to feel the slightest touch to make a move if necessary. It is therefore necessary to privilege the braid (in 13/15 hundredths) for the line body. As for the leader, a compromise must be found between discretion and robustness. You can use fluorocarbon in 30 hundredths to start (if in this case you do not fish anything, you will have to fall back on finer and finer fluorocarbon (up to 20 hundredths), it will nevertheless increase your risk of breakage.
Braid:
For braids, we recommend Berkley's Fireline Micro Ice Crystal and Parallelium's Hybridbraid FC PE8.
Bottom of line:
As for the leaders, you can orient yourself towards the C774 Cinnamon leader and Astucit Fluorocarbon.
