Trolling

Trolling

Trolling is a method that requires you to have access to a boat. When you are conjured, you will leave bait / baits lying around behind the boat. You can bring your boat with an electric or petrol engine. There are many different scopes in trolling. Some simply have access to a smaller boat and carry a move by boat. Others want to maximize their luck, then buy a larger boat and equip it for fishing with several fishing rods, in order to cover a larger area, but also to fish at different depths and be able to fish with different baits at the same time.
It is fished by all kinds of species. It is therefore very popular to fish for trout, salmon, pike and perch.

Equipment

It depends on the level you want. The usual trolling equipment obviously consists of one or more rods, lines and reels. During troll fishing, the equipment becomes a significant load. It is therefore important to have robust equipment. A fairly rigid rod, a reel that can support high loads (multi-roll is preferable) and a strong cable with a high breaking strength.
The necessary equipment consists of supports for fishing rods, draft shield, depth platform, mast, plans, sonar, skateboards, and plot or GPS (for large waters).
- It is necessary that the rod is not dependent on the holding of the rod at any time during the journey.
- The Rig Depth is a heavy plate attached to the fishing line and lifted to the desired depth. Then, when you catch, there is what is called a linutlösare that frees the fishing line from the weld.
- Para Tail is a disc with a special angle that allows you to take it out of the boat while driving in order to cover a larger area. In the paravane you put the fishing line, which also has a trigger that releases the rope within reach.
- A mast is necessary to be able to pull out several lines simultaneously, without tangling.
- Planerboarden use it with the mast. It is connected by a rope that is attached to the mast, and because planerboarden has the same function as para van (deduced from the boat), it becomes the main line stretched in the water. On this line then attaches spölinorna with an appropriate distance from each other. Each line is equipped with a linutlösare. Thus, when it cuts, the rope is released from the rope of the mast / board planes. We use this system to avoid tangles when fishing with multiple rods and to simulate a school of fish.
- Sonar is invaluable in finding out where the fish are.
Other equipment Harbours, safes, tools, etc. must have their given place on the boat and cannot move around in the boat when the sea is rough. Ideally, each gadget is blocked.

Advanced advice

Many believe that history determines your chance to troll, but the fact is that speed can be just as important, if not more important. If you have not received a shot in a while, this is a good advice to reduce or increase the speed.
