The fishing techniques to catch smelt with square nets

Fishing for smelt with square net is easy.
 Prepare your square net by attaching the string to the ring of the iron frame provided for this purpose.
 Gradually lower the square net by holding it by the thread and immerse it in water.
 The ideal time and place is at low tide (one hour before and one hour after) and when there is little depth (between 30 cm and 1m).
 Let the square rest in the bottom.
 Throw your porridge in the middle of the square net, which once in the water disperses into a shapeless mass.
 Wait a few moments (between 20 and 30 seconds) and raise the square net quickly enough (not too fast either so as not to scare away smelts).
You will then see the smelts wriggling in the bottom of the plaice.
Put them in a bucket and start again!
